Curating the Collected

MA Design - Jewellery & Metalwork - Sheffield Hallam University
Awarded Distinction - March 2023

We are all familiar with the feelings associated with stress, but the displaying of our collections can help to alleviate those feelings.  During the conversations between individuals that share something in common, the production of endorphins in the body increases. Which ultimately helps to combat the symptoms of stress.

Jewellery is a universal means of expression. For her MA project, Hayley has used autoethnography to create a series of jewellery consisting of personally collected objects which become a catalyst for conversation when displayed on the body.
