Of the solar flame — layered, radiant, and smouldering.
The name Solvaris draws from solar imagery — inspired by the warmth, movement, and layered glow associated with the sun. The flowing bands within the stone resemble shifting heat, firelight, and mineral strata shaped over time, giving the piece a sense of depth and intensity.
Solvaris centres around a richly banded carnelian agate, chosen for its vivid natural layers of amber, rust, and deep crimson tones. Formed over time through successive deposits of silica within volcanic cavities, sardonyx develops its distinctive striped patterns as mineral-rich layers slowly build upon one another, creating dramatic natural markings unique to each stone.
This pendant is handcrafted in sterling silver, with the agate held within an open, symmetrical frame inspired by branching antler forms. Suspended chain details soften the structure and introduce movement throughout the piece, while a smaller matching drop stone beneath echoes the colours and banding of the central agate. The darkened silver finish enhances the warmth of the stone, allowing the layered patterns and flowing structure to remain the focus of the design.
